After a very hard week of non-stop work we finished the chalet in time for the first guests who arrived last Saturday.  All the curtains that we were still putting up at midnight the day before the guests arrived are still in place and everyone is very pleased with the chalet.

It’s great to see the results of all the months of hard work that we have put in to get the business up and running, now just a few more months of hard work ensuring everyone has their best ski holiday for years.

The only bit of bad news is we’re now totally full for the whole season, obviously not bad news if you’ve booked already but for anyone else reading this remember to bookmark our site and get in quick next year !

 

Well pretty much…  We had a very productive 12 days in Chatel, lots of hard work mainly on the exterior decking area around the Jacuzzi and access around the Chalet.  All work which had to be finished before the weather turns, and apart from a couple of small details its all done now.

As for the interior, we didn’t have much time left over but everything has been delivered now and fits in the spaces we had hoped it would. When we go out in December it’ll be time to concentrate on setting the place out and making it ready our guests.

We’ve just completed a little face lift of the website, with a couple of additional pages added to help you find out all you need to know about our chalet.

We’ve just returned from France and are very pleased to report the chalet is now complete ! We’re incredibly pleased with the way chalet has been finished, the attention to detail can be seen throughout.

I’ll be heading back out at the end of October to take delivery of all the furniture and get the place set up and ready for our first guests.

Time seems to be flying by with our first guests due in just over 2 and half months, it’ll be great to have the business up and running after all the time and effect we’ve spent to get to this point.

With over half the weeks already booked its time to book if you haven’t already !

We’ve just returned from visiting Châtel and seeing the progess on the chalet.  The developer has confirmed that the completion date is the 27th September (only a year late !), although there still seems to be a lot of work to do in the next couple of weeks he is confident it should all be done on time.

It was great to finally see the chalet in its almost complete state, and we were very happy with the how everything looks inside.

It was a busy trip as we had to do all the shopping to order all the large items of furniture, which took about 3 days of visiting every furniture shop in Thonon before we finally agreed on everything.  We’ve got a quality large sofa for relaxing around the fire and another for the TV area, plus a fantastic solid wood table to comfortably seat all our guests at meal times.

 The latest news is that the developer has commited to completing the chalet for the last week in September, and we cann’t wait to get hold of the keys.
